Hossam Hassan is an internationally recognized coach with 27 years of fencing experience. He has earned degrees from the French Fencing Federation and the international Olympic Committee. From 1990 - 2000 he was coach of the Alsogor Club as well as the king Faisal air Base. In 2002 he was named Head Coach of the Egyptian National team, which qualified for the 2004 Olympic Games. He is currently the Head Coach for Olympic Fencing Academy in St. Louis, MO.

 

 

Emilia Ivanova majored in Sport and Physical Education, trained at the Paris Fencing Academy, was a 7 time national foil champion of Bulgaria and took the silver medal in the European Championships. She was Head Coach of the Bulgarian national women's foil team, where her students reached the World Championships in Holland, the European Championships and 1996 Olympic Games.

 

 

Anna Katkova a native of Kiev, Ukraine, Anna Katkova has trained hundreds of fencers to compete in and win top medals at national and international events - including the 2008 Beijing Olympics and 2000 Sydney Olympics, as well as numerous world and European Championships. As a coach at Kanza Fencing Club in Kansas, her students have placed in the top eight at many national and regional events - and one student took the gold at the NCAA Fencing Championships. A fencing master herself, Anna has coached 35 masters in the USSR/Ukraine - a level of excellence achieved only by the top fencers in the world. 

 

 

B.J. Self   is assistant coach at St. Louis based parkway Fencing Club as well as working with Coach Hossam at Olympia Fencing Academy. G. J. has been fencing for fifteen years and is adept at all three weapons. He has been the St. Louis Division champion in sabre for 6+ years, as well as being St. Louis Division Champion in epee for the past 3 years.
